Sailing between Portugal's historic capital city of Lisbon and Portimão on the Algarve Coast on the 82 year-old Santa Maria Manuela, this unique golf tour includes rounds on some of Portugal's finest golf courses. Located only 2 hours from most European capitals, Lisbon is very much in vogue, offering a pleasant year-round climate and a rich variety of food, culture, music and entertainment.
The day of arrival you settle in to your cabin on the Santa Maria Manuela and enjoy a glass of wine from the local Douro region, and a typical Portuguese meal cooked aboard. The next day your first 18 holes will be at the stunning Oitavos Dunes course, set amongst pine woods and reforested dunes in an area of outstanding natural beauty with views over the ocean on most holes.
That evening we set sail along Portugal's rugged coastline aboard the Santa Maria Manuela for Troia. The crew aboard welcome any help they can get to hoist the sails and ensure you get the most out of your experience aboard this 4 masted schooner.
After 36 hours under sail we sail into Sesimbra's inland waterway and berth in Troia's nature reserve. The following morning we tee off at Troia one of Portugal's most engaging and challenging golf courses, voted one of Continental Europe's best 20 Golf resorts by Golf World magazine in 2018.
We have the option to spend the evening on Comporta's stunning coastline, glass in hand, before we sail south for Portimao and our final day of golf at Onyria Palmares.
Set within the natural amphitheater of the Bay of Lagos, it is said that Robert Trent Jones II has fashioned Europe's next great golf course, Onyria Palmares Golf.
