Voyage description

Begin your tall ship adventure in Aberdeen, Scotland’s principal North Sea port, known for its striking granite buildings and centuries-old maritime tradition. Before boarding, explore the city’s museums, stroll along sandy beaches, or enjoy local seafood from the bustling harbour.

Setting sail aboard the Santa Maria Manuela, cross the North Sea toward the remote beauty of the Outer Hebrides. Life on board follows the rhythm of wind and tide. Guests are invited to participate — hoisting and trimming sails, taking the helm, learning knot-tying, or simply relaxing on deck watching for marine wildlife.

Your next port is Stornoway, on the Isle of Lewis, gateway to Gaelic culture, windswept landscapes and ancient standing stones. Here small communities tell the story of Scotland’s seafaring past while traditions, music and hospitality thrive.

The voyage concludes in Belfast, a city rooted in shipbuilding and reborn as a cultural centre. Discover its Titanic heritage, rich arts scene and the warmth of Irish hospitality. From live music to local fare, Belfast offers a memorable finale to a journey shaped by heritage and the sea.

I won't forget the long-suffering patient crew member who taught me to tie a double bowline. It took ages but I finally got it, and was able to teach another passenger.

Plein de moments magiques pendant le voyage. C'était impressionnant de voir le bateau depuis le zodiac quand on se trouvait à environ 50 ou 100 m du navire. Super la baignade en pleine mer.
