Voyage description

We start our island hopping adventure from Terceira, docked in UNESCO-listed Angra do Heroísmo, the Azores' oldest city, with its 16th-century fortress and Renaissance town.

Before embarking consider visiting Algar do Carvão with its 90m-deep volcanic chimney, and the island’s small vineyards and lava-rock bathing pools in Biscoitos are popular tourist sites.

From Angra do Heroísmo, we set sail towards the island of Pico, home to Portugal’s highest mountain and famed for its rich whaling history. On Pico, you can explore the island’s volcanic landscapes, visit its UNESCO-protected vineyards, or hike the slopes of Mount Pico for a truly spectacular view.

Too soon we must sail east for São Miguel, where the mid-Atlantic cosmopolitan city of Ponta Delgada waits, complemented by an island lush in greenery, geothermal wonders, and charming villages.

Consider exploring the natural hot springs, volcanic craters, and breathtaking vistas that offer a fitting conclusion to your unforgettable tall ship voyage.  To the west lie Sete Cidades’ volcanic lakes, a testament to the island's fiery past, and the Azores' most recognized natural monument.

I won't forget the long-suffering patient crew member who taught me to tie a double bowline. It took ages but I finally got it, and was able to teach another passenger.

Plein de moments magiques pendant le voyage. C'était impressionnant de voir le bateau depuis le zodiac quand on se trouvait à environ 50 ou 100 m du navire. Super la baignade en pleine mer.
